Six Maoists were killed and 70 landmines destroyed by security forces in Panchrukhia forest, bordering Bihar's Gaya and Aurangabad districts, a top Central Reserve Police Force official said on Monday. As many as six ultras have been killed and scores of others injured in heavy firing between the Maoists and forces since Saturday, CRPF Deputy Inspector General Umesh Kumar said.

Three Central Reserve Police Force personnel were killed and six others seriously injured on Thursday morning when Naxals blew up the anti-landmine vehicle they were traveling in, at Bihar's Gaya district. The incident occurred at 6.20 am near Chakarbanda forests in Barha village of the district, when the CRPF vehicle was going for an operational duty.
